Join us on December 21st for the second annual 1851 Winter Formal, a festive night of music, magic, and community celebration. Doors open at 7PM, with the event beginning at 8PM, and this year’s formal brings back all the favorites from last year — including our tarot card reader, face painting, winter-themed photo moments, and a full evening of dancing and holiday cocktails. Pre-sale admission is just $7, or join us at the door for $15. Table reservations are available for $25 and are highly recommended for groups; please note that a table reservation covers the table only, and each guest seated at that table must also purchase their own individual ticket to be admitted. Tables are extremely limited and serve as the only indoor seating for the event.

This Winter Formal is a closed, ticketed event, meaning no entry will be allowed on the day of the event without an individual ticket purchased in advance or at the door. Dress up, show out, and step into a warm winter night at Arlington’s only LGBTQ+ bar.

Do I need a ticket to attend the Winter Formal?

Yes. This is a closed, ticketed event. Every guest must have their own individual ticket to enter, whether purchased online in advance or at the door (if available).

Who can attend the Winter Formal?

The event is 18+. Everyone must present a valid ID at the door to enter.

Does a table reservation include admission?

No. A table reservation holds your table only. Each person seated at that table must also purchase their own individual ticket to be admitted to the event.

How many people can sit at a reserved table?

Each table can seat up to 4 guests. We have only 8 tables available for the entire event.

Will tickets be sold at the door?

Only if the event does not sell out. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee entry.

What time do doors open?

Doors open at 7PM, and the event begins at 8PM.

Are tickets refundable?

Yes, contact a member of staff for refunds.

Will food be served?

There is no food service, but there may be light snacks available from a vendor during the event.

Is there a dress code?

There is no strict dress code, but most guests choose to dress semi-formal or festive for the occasion.

Where do I check in after buying my ticket?

Bring your digital ticket or confirmation email to the front door, where our staff will check you in and issue your wristband.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No - digital tickets on your phone are perfectly fine. We will also have the guest list of everyone who has purchased a ticket at the door.
